“I haven’t been everywhere, but it is on my list” -Susan Sontag

Bucket lists are a good way for you to keep track of the things you want to realize in your life. We only live once.

As you may know, I love to travel and discover new places in the world. I always have had tones bucket lists in my mind. There are a lot of places that I want to visit in the world and I would like to achieve as much as I can.

The thing that I wanted to do on one of my lists was to do a semester abroad for example. When I had the opportunity to choose where I wanted to go I have done lists. To be able to see the pros and cons to help me decide what was the best place for me.

Even though I have many different things that I want to do in my life, bucket lists are to me, the best way for you to see where you are coming from. And of course, do and observe what you are able to do and achieve.

When doing a bucket list, the thing you need to me are pencils, paper, colour or even just your computer. I don’t write down everything all the time, sometimes it is just in my mind. Write down all the thing you would like to achieve in your life for example. Then take some time for yourself to think of it.

For example, when I left France I wanted to keep track of my journey in Australia, so, every day I am writing a little summary in a diary. We are the only one able to create our memories. After all, we never know what can happen in life so doing that was pretty important to me.

My blog, my Glitter World was something that I have been thinking about for a long time, and that was on my list. I have achieved something important and I am now working on it, to improve it as much as possible.

My biggest “bucket list”, at the moment is everything that is concerning my blog.  I want it to have even more content and there is a lot to do on it about it. Many things are coming soon!!!

We are all using Youtube for example, you need to be aware of my channel, Glitter World is now on Youtube!! Which make even more buckets lists, because of everything that is coming. I want to share with you quality work.

The way I do it? It’s right here!!

To start with, you have to think about what you want to do. In the example I am going to give, I am going to focus on travelling.

The example I am going to give you is also for you to know what I actually really did. Where to go? Where to go when I am already on the other side of the planet? What to do? What are the must-sees? How to get from a point to another one? How much does it cost? All of these questions are constantly in my mind.

The first thing I do, and I have done is to open a map and I look at the distance between each country or places I want to go to, or even visit: Thaïland? New- Caledonia? China? Japan? Tasmania? Bali? New-Zealand? Hawaï? Fiji?

There are many possibilities…..To change from a country to another one. But there are also plenty of options nationally. What do I mean by that? I mean that Australia is a huge country, and to travel from the East coast to the Western coast is a quite long journey. Travelling from Sydney (East coast) to Perth (Western coast) take about 5 hours flight for example.

There are so many things to see on the Australian territory itself.

For this bucket list example, I am going to focus on some of the research I have done. My ROAD TRIP coming. The East coast is really big, and there are a lot of places to go to. Once the destination was chosen I chose to note in a notebook hashtag travel diary. Then I kept going on my research on the things to do and see there. I also got organize on an excel sheet.

Breathtaking landscapes, beaches and some waterfalls as we would dream of having close to us every day. And, there are also many islands around, beautiful views that will make you dream. After having explored all of that on my computer, I did some research to find pictures to make me dream even more and make me want to go there. After that, I wrote in my little diary all the things that I would like to see. And the list is very, very long? I kept researching to be able to have a precise plan.

Something to take into account is the time that is given to you, for me, there are many things that I have to considerate, School, free days, holidays? What to do?

Then I wrote the city that I could potentially visit, and then I looked at the flight prices. A flight to go to Cairns from Sydney will cost around $200-$300. Like every flight, when it is about travelling you need to find a good deal and travelling at the right time. (The prices that are just above are the ones that I saw, and not always the same they can change).

You also need to get information on housing, where to sleep for example. It may be complicated to find places to stay without getting ruined. Hostels, Airbnb can be a good option. Once you’ve collected all the information that was needed for you to go, you just have to figure a date out and friends to leave with.

To sum up,  you need time to take time for yourself and to think about all the small questions that could be important for your trip. It is better to know and take the information one at the time and to write it down on a piece of paper or a diary. After you started researching you need to be more and more precise in what you are searching for. In doing more specifics research you will be able to enjoy your trip at his best!!!
